Every managerial leader, not matter at what level of the organisation, is required to be proficient in a number of specific managerial competencies.  To be a well run effective company, we need to be good at doing these specific competencies.  To be a high performance team we need not only to be good, we need to be GREAT at doing them.  There is no pixie dust to this – every managerial leader with coaching and learning can become a very effective managerial leader.
